At UCLA, we hosted a vision fair in collaboration with the Bruin Vision Project and Vietnamese Community Health to raise awareness about eye health within our community. Through interactive disease simulations, we educated students and faculty about common eye conditions, such as glaucoma and macular degeneration, helping them better understand the challenges faced by those living with these conditions.

In addition to these educational activities, we offered free visual acuity screenings to all attendees, providing an opportunity for early detection and promoting the importance of regular eye check-ups. The hands-on approach allowed participants to learn about eye care in an engaging and memorable way, fostering a deeper appreciation for eye health and preventive care.

We also extended this initiative to the younger members of our community, hosting a special session for elementary school children from the Los Angeles Unified School District. By teaching them about eye health early on, we aimed to instill healthy habits and awareness from a young age. The experience was a rewarding one, reinforcing our commitment to promoting eye health education and prevention across all ages.
